RFB for Prado Basin Short Term Sediment Removal Compliance Project – Phase I (Contract No. PB-2025-1)
The Orange County Water District is currently seeking bids for removing up to 100,000 cubic yards (CY) of sediment within Prado Basin at an existing sand trap constructed by the District in 2020 adjacent to the Santa Ana River and storing the sediment at a new stockpile location. The CONTRACTOR shall prepare a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and provide erosion and water quality management per the approved plan; complete pre and post-construction surveys by a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in the State of California; clear and grub the sediment trap, existing access road, and stockpile locations; complete minor improvements to the existing access road; construct and maintain the stockpile locations including demolishing existing facilities and grading; excavate and transport up to 100,000 CY of sediment from the sediment trap, haul along the access road, and deposit in the stockpile site; complete final cleanup of all work areas and demobilize; and, at the option of the District, hydroseed and hydromulch the stockpile site and remove up to 50,000 CY of additional sediment.
