Andre Casasola, Information Systems Specialist
The Orange County Water District is very pleased to announce that Andre Casasola, Information Systems Specialist, is the 2023 Employee of the Second Quarter.
Andre Casasola is a tremendous asset to OCWD and is well deserving to be Employee of the Quarter. He is always willing to go above and beyond to assist the District with not only audio-visual needs, but event needs.
In March, Andre spent three 10+ hour days working at the Children’s Water Education Festival. He not only provided A/V support to eight OCWD booths and six classrooms but was also the go to staff member for transporting supplies to and from locations across UCI. Andre could have left at the conclusion of each day, but instead, he stayed to assist Public Affairs with load out and clean up. On Thursday afternoon, Andre moved dozens of heavy bins, banners, signs, and pieces of equipment across 13 acres in the pouring rain and loaded them into the event trailer. He remained on scene until all items including trash were picked up. Rather than head home after a long day, he brought needed items back to the District.
In April, Andre provided A/V support for the GWRS Final Expansion Dedication. He curated an audio playlist and photo album to display on the digital stage backdrop; fine tuning them until they displayed perfectly. Andre stayed until 10:30 p.m. the night before the dedication performing run throughs to ensure the program would run smoothly. He was back bright and early the next morning and worked alongside the third-party A/V company over the course of the event. The dedication was a success and staff received many compliments on its audio-visual elements. Like with Festival, Andre could have left at the conclusion of the event, but instead stayed to assist Public Affairs with clean up.
Both the Children’s Water Education Festival and GWRS Final Expansion Dedication would not have been possible without Andre. We appreciate his commitment to always being ready and willing to help whenever and wherever needed, all with a positive attitude.
