Don Houlihan, Recharge Operations Supervisor

Don is responsible for oversight of OCWD’s recharge operations including the planning for storms and imported water deliveries, movement of water around the District’s various recharge operations and conveyances, and the scheduling of basin cleanings and maintenance at dozens of geographically diverse locations.

Over the past several years, Don has transitioned from U.S. Navy, to fish & wildlife technician, to OCWD heavy equipment operator, and then to Hydrographer. Six months ago he was promoted to recharge system operations supervisor. In that role his experience, work ethic, and natural ability to lead have served as a good example for others, especially those ambitious people looking for opportunities to advance their own careers.
