Sunset Gap Additional Monitoring Well Installations Project

OCWD is seeking proposals from qualified firms that are interested in providing construction management services (CM) for the Sunset Gap Additional Monitoring Well Installations Project. Construction activities will include the installation of 11 single-point monitoring wells at five sites located in the cities of Seal Beach and Huntington Beach.

For the past 10 years, the District has been investigating and characterizing seawater intrusion into the Sunset Gap with the end objective of developing a mitigative remedy and control to protect the potable groundwater basin. Currently, there is a need to construct additional monitoring wells to better define the source areas, flow pathways, and extent of seawater intrusion outside the Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach (NWSSB).

Details of the scope of work for the CM is described in the Request for Proposals (RFP). You may also view the November 18 pre-proposal meeting presentation.

Sealed proposals are due at the District office of the Orange County Water District, 18700 Ward Street, Fountain Valley, California 92708 by 2 p.m. local time on December 17, 2020. Proper proposal submittals are described in the RFP.
