Goals, priorities and guidelines

OCWD addresses issues including the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act of 2014, Proposition 1 (Water Bond), federal drought legislation, and groundwater cleanup, among many other high-profile policy issues. 

OCWD influences policies through their communications and legislative affairs committee, whose decisions and actions are guided by the District’s 2023-24 legislative platform (PDF). The platform includes invaluable guiding policies for taking positions on bills, testimony before committees, and communications with elected officials and their staff.
