The coveted annual PR World Awards program encompasses the world’s best in recognizing public relations, marketing, corporate communications, investor relations, and business development professionals, teams, departments, and achievements from every major industry in the world.
Winners were honored in San Francisco on Monday, June 26 during the 2017 Silicon Valley United States (SVUS) Red Carpet Awards Ceremony Dinner.
“We thank PR World Awards® for recognizing the dedication of OCWD’s public affairs staff. Each year, staff brings together 7,500 students, 900 teachers and chaperones from 20 cities, 75 schools and 250 classes in Orange County, Calif., and more than 500 volunteers, sponsors and presenters for the Children’s Water Education Festival. It is the largest event of its kind in the nation meant to engage and inspire third, fourth and fifth grade students about water and the environment and to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education in a fun and interactive way. PR is a key component to our education and conservation successes,” said OCWD President Denis Bilodeau.
