Prem Parmar is the Director of the Orange County Water District’s Philip L. Anthony Water Quality Laboratory (the Lab). He is responsible for the direction, management, supervision and coordinating and operations within the Lab.
Prem manages advanced planning activities for his department, conducts research on current and upcoming federal and state regulations and requirements, and implements policies and procedures to meet compliance monitoring requirements for the GWRS and groundwater basin. Prem has 14+ years of experience in environmental and analytical chemistry and has worked for the District since 2006 when he began as a Laboratory Intern for the Inorganic section. Prior to his current position, he served as an OCWD Supervising Chemist in the Organic section.
Prem holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from University of California, Irvine, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
