Lee Yoo is the Director of the Orange County Water District's Philip L. Anthony Water Quality Laboratory (the Lab). He is responsible for the direction, management, supervision and coordinating and operations within the Lab.
Lee manages advanced planning activities for his department, conducts research on current and upcoming federal and state regulations and requirements, and implements policies and procedures to meet compliance monitoring requirements for the GWRS and groundwater basin. Lee has more than 30 years experience in environmental and analytical chemistry and has worked for the District since 1989. Prior to his current position, he served as an OCWD Supervising Chemist in the organic section.
Lee holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Chemistry from Seoul National University, and a master's degree in Food Science and Technology from Oregon State University. He is the former president of the Southern California chapter of the Korean Scientists and Engineers Association.
