Chris McConaughy, Chief Operator
The Orange County Water District employees were given the opportunity to vote for the Employee of the Year by choosing from the 12 previous Employee’s of the Month. The 2003 Employee of the Year is Chris McConaughy.
Not only has Chris’ hard work and dedication been recognized by the management team through the competition for Employee of the Month, but his peers have reinforced this recognition by selecting him as OCWD’s Employee of the Year. As a chief operator at OCWD’s recharge facilities in Anaheim, Chris’ efforts to do whatever it takes, to respond regardless of time of day or night in order to put water into Orange County’s groundwater basin, are certainly worthy of this recognition. As Employee of the Year Chris receives a letter of commendation from the General Manager, a glass award to display, an Employee of the Year plaque displaying his photo to be hung in OCWD’s hallway all year, a gift certificate and two days off with pay.
