Water Quality
OCWD has always maintained a proactive policy toward water quality. We test water from more than 1,400 locations throughout the basin, taking more than 18,000 samples and conducting 335,000 analyses of these samples each year. We are required to test for 122 chemicals; yet we test for 335 to stay ahead of any emerging contaminants. We also have a zero tolerance policy with polluters, pursuing litigation when needed.
