Announcing L.E.A.F. - Leaders of Environmental Action Films, a contest to empower youth to become the environmental solutions within their own communities and beyond.

Presented by Volcom, OC Dept of Education’s Inside The Outdoors Foundation, Ed Begley Jr, Tanna Frederick, in partnership with the Newport Beach Film Festival, OC Parks, and Newport Bay Naturalists, the contest is open to Orange County high school students. Students are challenged to develop environmental :30-second or :60-second public service announcements plus an essay.

Contest ends April 9th, 2010

This contest offers an exciting opportunity for our students to be creative and empowered to be the solutions in our communities. In addition, the winning students will receive amazing prizes and be showcased at the Newport Beach Film Festival 2010 Environmental Documentary Film Series on Sunday April 25th, 2010, and featured on Fox Sports/Fuel TV. The winners will also receive certificates of accomplishment from leading universities.
