OCWD and the Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS) have been featured in many prominent media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA TODAY, L.A. Times, Public Broadcasting System's "News Hour with Jim Lehrer," CNN, CBS and Engineering News Record.

Each year, OCWD's public affairs staff gives more than 120 presentations to community leaders and groups, conducts more than 70 tours of OCWD facilities, and organizes the nation's largest Children's Water Education Festival where more than 6,000 elementary school students learn about water and the environment through educational "interactivities."
