Request for engineering consulting services to prepare a feasibility study for improving Placentia and Raymond Flood Retarding Basins to enhance their use for water conservation and groundwater recharge

The Orange County Water District is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering consulting services to prepare a feasibility study for improving Placentia and Raymond Flood Retarding Basins to enhance their use for water conservation and groundwater recharge. Placentia and Raymond Basins are two flood-retarding basins owned and operated by the County of Orange Resources and Development Management Department (RDMD), Flood Control Division. In recent years, the District has worked cooperatively with RDMD to use the basins to recharge both imported water and Santa Ana River water. Since the basins are constructed primarily for flood control purposes, their use for recharge is not optimal. This feasibility study should therefore evaluate possible improvements for enhanced recharge usage.
