| Be a Presenter! Do you like working with children? Do you want to help them learn about our environment and our natural resources? Then, being a presenter is for you. What could be more rewarding then helping children understand the world in which we live and inspiring them to protect its resources! The Orange County Water District Ground Water Guardian Team and Disneyland Resort will coordinate the festival, but we need your help to ensure its success. Through hands-on fun-filled activities students will learn about the world in which we live and what they can do in their homes, communities and schools to protect our natural resources and our world. For more information on presenting at the festival, please contact Gina DePinto at (714) 378-3228 or e-mail gdepinto@ocwd.com. |

Be a Sponsor! When given the opportunity, children often demonstrate an innate desire to protect the world and its natural resources. But we must provide the catalysts to turn their enthusiasm into action. By offering information, resources and assurances that children can make a difference, we can start them on a lifelong path of environmental stewardship. This is the philosophy of the 2008 Children’s Water Education Festival, an exciting concept in environmental education that is spreading nationally and internationally. |

| Be a Donor! There are many ways to help the Children’s Water Education Festival. Donating in-kind gifts and financial donations ensure that Orange County Children will have the opportunity to learn about our environment and the important role that they can take to ensure that our drinking water is safe for their families, communities and future generations. The Festival is more than a fieldtrip; it is an outdoor laboratory where students use their minds and creativity to learn about water and the environment around them. All activities at the Festival are fun and geared toward school-age children in third and fourth grade. Activities include creating edible aquifers out of lemon lime soda and ice cream and the bucket brigade where students participate in a relay race where they learn about daily water usage and ways that they can use less water by making simple changes in their daily lives. Through creative and fun activities students learn about our environment and the relationship between all living creatures and what they can do to preserve one of our most precious resourceswater. If you would like to make a donation or have questions, please contact Gina DePinto at (714) 378-3228. |
