HEALTH INSURANCE -- The District provides medical insurance to all full-time employees. Employees have a choice of two PPO or HMO plans.
DENTAL INSURANCE -- The District provides dental insurance to all full-time employees. Employees have a choice of PPO or HMO plans.
VISION INSURANCE -- The District provides this benefit to all full-time employees.
LIFE INSURACE -- The District provides two times the employee’s annual salary in the life insurance benefit. Supplemental life is also available to all full-time employees at an additional cost.
DISABILITY INSURANCE -- Employees are covered at no cost by short and long-term disability insurance, which provides income equal to two-thirds of monthly salary.
RETIREMENT -- All full-time employees are immediately enrolled in the District's retirement 401(A) defined contribution plan upon hire. A portion of the employee's mandatory contributions are paid by the District and, following completion of one-year service, the District contributes an additional six percent.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION -- Participation in the deferred compensation plan is offered to employees as a means of augmenting and increasing retirement benefits. Contributions are on a voluntary basis.
VACATION -- Following completion of probation, eligible employees will accrue 4.16 hours per pay period of vacation time. Hours accrue thereafter based upon years of service.
SICK LEAVE -- Full-time employees accrue forty-eight hours per year of sick leave with pay following successful completion of the probationary period. Thereafter, eight hours accrue each month.
HOLIDAYS -- Eleven paid holidays per year.
EDUCATIONAL REIMBURSEMENT -- Following completion of probationary period, eligible employees may apply for educational reimbursement for personal educational costs.
PERSONAL COMPUTER PURCHASE PLAN -- Following completion of one year service, eligible employees may apply for personal computer loans. Repayment is arranged through payroll deductions.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM -- Counseling and referral service provided by licensed professionals who deal with a variety of legal stress, marital, financial, and substance dependency matters. Service provided at no cost to eligible employees.
